Photos From The Emerald Renovation

The Challenges Foundation recently received a donated 57 foot sailing vessel named The Emerald. The vessel was made by The Stone Brothers in San Francisco in 1925. It hosted President Ronald Reagan among other notable guests over the years. When we received it, the vessel required a little TLC.

Here are some photos of the renovation.

The Emerald is lowered into the waterIt's GO time! The Emerald's hull received the needed TLC. Now let's see if she floats. Wooden hull boats don't take kindly to prolonged separation from the water. The first day or so can be a nail-biting time.
